Everglades City: Guided Kayaking Tour of the Wetlands

3.Everglades City: Guided Kayaking Tour of the Wetlands

★★★★★★★★★★4.8 · 182 reviews · 3 - 4 hours · from $102

From the Ivey House area, you’ll ride to the launch point, learn basic kayak handling, then paddle mangrove tunnels and cypress waterways with an English-speaking naturalist. Guides such as Matt, Ryan, Jean, and Kenzie help spot wildlife and explain the Everglades ecosystem.

“Ryan was a great guide. We really enjoyed the 3 hours we spent on the water. I think the actual area that you kayak in is the Big Cypress National Preserve so it’s 1.5hr drive from the entrance of the Everglades NP. We felt safe and cared for the entire time. Ryan helped us spot gators and other wildlife, and was very knowledgeable about the area. It felt way safer than if we had just rented our own kayaks! Ryan brought us each a bottle of water and a muesli bar. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area.”
