From El Calafate: Torres del Paine Full Day Tour

1.From El Calafate: Torres del Paine Full Day Tour

★★★★★★★★★★4.6 · 434 reviews · 16 hours · from $229Our pick

Spend a very long but rewarding day traveling from El Calafate into Chile’s Torres del Paine National Park. Expect border formalities, a boxed lunch, bilingual guides such as Matías, Carla, or Silvestre, scenic viewpoints, and an easy 1.5-hour walk.

“The excursion is quite expensive, although it’s worth it, as Torres del Paine is truly magical. The journey is extremely long and very tiring, so make sure you have plenty of energy — and time to rest afterward. At the beginning of the trip, the bus heating wasn’t working — although it was eventually fixed, it would be a good idea to check this in advance before such long journeys. The food definitely needs improvement, as it’s really not good at all. Matias and Emanuel are really kind, always very willing to help, and they never lose their good spirit, even after such a long and exhausting day.”

“Really great tour! Seeing the glacier was a magical experience. Once you get to Hotel Lago Grey, it's easy to figure out how to check-in and begin the tour. There's a little check-in station inside the front entrance of the hotel and after you check-in the staff explain the next steps. If you to travel to the hotel with a private driver, they'll also explain the check-in process. The boat was clean and felt very safe. Once it's safe enough to go on the deck, you're able to spend time there or stay inside the boat. The drink ticket is a bonus. There's soda and juice options for people who…”
